Invited to participate in SOIL Gallery’s show To: You From: Me, I beaded and constructed Garment for a Baptism in the Spigot for my dear friend Sofya Belinskaya. From the show text:

“An heirloom, a devotional object, a garment to dance in. Sofya is one of the only people I can hold on a dancefloor and move in unison with. She has been an integral part of welcoming me into the dance music community in Seattle, as well as an artistic role model and inspiration. This garment is based on one I made for myself and have worn on many dancefloors. Sofya’s has another home on a frame (made with assistance from James Kleeburg) that elevates the garment into a fine art object.”
